Christmas Wonderland 2004
An evening of wonder...
The 2004 Christmas Wonderland festival was an exciting
night, with an estimated 1200-1500 people turning out to enjoy a free
evening filled with fun, our Christmas gift to the community!
There were Christmas lights everywhere, hayrides, cookies,
free cotton candy and sno cones, holiday musicians and carolers, pony rides,
a nativity petting zoo with costumed Bible characters, the elves' workshop
with Mr. and Mrs. Claus, Wonderland Express train rides, kids cookie decorating
area, Christmas puppet shows, a roller racer rink, clowns and balloons,
free hotdogs, a wonderland playground hunt for tangerines, a tunnel of lighted
trees, s'mores, hot cocoa, hot apple cider and even falling
"snow!"
Many thanks to the many Sarasota Christian Church
volunteers who made the event possible by sharing their time, resources
and love with our neighbors! (Thanks also to the Fruitville Road
Chick-Fil-A for assistance with publicity and to Lake
Aurora Christian Camp for the train and roller racers.)
